Who holds it
Jibe is run by one person in the United States, not a company. That person holds the data below and answers at hello@jibe.day.
What you give Jibe
The trip’s name and description. The first name you type when you join. The days you mark as free, maybe or busy. An email address, only if you enter one to get a link back to your trip. That is the whole list.
What Jibe records on its own
Which pages get used and which step a trip reaches: the event, the page, your country, whether you are on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and a random visitor id kept in a cookie. Not your IP address, not your browser’s full signature, not your name.
Your IP address is used to limit abuse and is not written into that record.
Cookies
- A signed cookie for each trip you join, so you are recognised when you come back.
- One that lasts two years and links your trips on this device, so a pattern you saved can pre-fill your next calendar.
- The visitor id for the counts above.
Your theme choice lives in your browser’s own storage. There are no advertising cookies and nothing from third parties.
Who else touches it
Jibe runs on Supabase (the database), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), Upstash (rate limiting) and, when it is switched on, Sentry (error reports). Each sees only what it needs to do its job. Nothing is sold, and nothing goes to advertisers. If the law requires it, Jibe hands over what it must.
How long it stays
A trip lives until its organizer deletes it. A trip nobody ever marked is archived after 30 days and stops showing. When a member leaves or is removed, their days go with them. The usage counts have no names in them and are kept.
What you can do
- Leave any trip from its menu.
- Delete a trip you organize.
- Unsubscribe from any email with the link in it.
- Clear your cookies.
- Write to hello@jibe.day and it will be removed.
Children
Jibe is not for anyone under 13. If a child’s details got in, write and they will be deleted.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
